K-12 hosted a very special Veterans' Day chapel service today.
This year's auctioneer will be Jeremy Jenkins from Jenkins Auction Services. Joining him will be his nephew, Casen, who is a 7th grader at GCS. We're excited to see Casen show off his auctioneering skills for his school. Please join us in supporting him and our school this Friday, November 14th. Our silent auction starts at 6 pm, with the live auction starting shortly after 7 pm.
The HS robot had its first test run. It had limited success in picking up and scoring blocks. More work is needed.

Our Foertmeyer & Sons Winter Flower sale has been extended. All online and paper orders are now due on November 24th. Payment is due with orders. Help us get to our goal of at least 200 items by reaching out to any high school student to get their personal link. Sales go toward our high school field trip to the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum in April.

It's one week till our auction, and a Monopoly-themed auction wouldn't be complete without a custom-made GCS-themed Monopoly game! Put a house in Mr. Eanes' office or a hotel on the North Campus playground, but whatever you do, stay out of detention. Our high school students will be providing childcare during our auction next week, so your children can have fun while you bid on all the items we have to offer. The High School is asking for a suggested donation of $5, with proceeds going to the 7th - 12th grade classes.

The GCS Theater Department has announced auditions for their 2026 spring musical, "Alice in Wonderland: A Rock Musical". Auditions are open to GCS students and homeschoolers in grades 7th-12th.

Yesterday, after shopping for Operation Christmas Child, students refreshed themselves at McDonald's.
For one night only! Tickets are now on sale for our winter play, "How Miss Finch Stole Christmas!" In this entertaining holiday comedy, Miss Elvira Finch hates Christmas and everything associated with it, from the decorations to the noise. When she discovers a loophole in the town charter, she sets out to rid Newville of Christmas once and for all. Will she be successful? Join us to find out. This play runs about 30-40 minutes and is perfect for the whole family. Call or stop by the High School office to purchase your advance tickets.
Happy Reformation Day! The Juniors and Seniors celebrated Reformation Day after finishing their projects on some of the reformers as well as modern day Christian Leaders.
Ms. Saunders' class went on a word hunt this week to find 20 words around the classroom.
