Happy 4th of July! This week, our GCS Summer Day Camp at North Campus made Eagle puppets for America's 250th and our very own GCS Eagles🦅, of course!

Don't forget to join us on Saturday for the Morrow County Independence Day Parade! We won't know where in the parade line we are till that day. Those participating in the parade may park in the school parking lot and walk over to the fairgrounds. Volunteers should be able to point you in the right direction to find us. Please arrive by 1:30 pm. The parade begins at 2:00 PM.
Parents may walk/ride with us or go watch the parade and pick up their students afterward. Following the parade, students will be transported back to the GCS Elementary School for pickup.
Also, remember to plan accordingly to the weather and the heatwave we've been experiencing. Water bottles, sunscreen, etc., are highly recommended.

The Amateur Radio Relay League sponsored a Field Day this weekend and Mr. Thomas operated the STEM station at the North Campus Saturday night and Sunday. Most of the contacts were with Canada and Florida and no successful contacts outside the Americas. Conditions weren't the best but with patience and persistence a few contacts were logged to make it a fun time.
The antenna was doing well. We just have fine tune it for efficiency. This week we will experiment with speaker wire and constructing end-fed dipoles.

The Dube family had an eagle visit them this week! This eagle was in action, flying above their fields and the tree line. Suddenly, it swooped down and snatched a critter from the tree before flying back over the field in the opposite direction! Thanks for sharing.
