
Miss Staton's Kindergarten class has had a great first week. Students worked on building classroom community, learning routines and procedures, and strengthened fine motor skills using Play-Doh.




5th graders spent the first week learning and practicing putting up and taking down flags as part of their new 5th grade responsibility.

The North campus theme this year is "Shine like Stars" for Jesus from Philippians 2:14-16a. Kindergarten students used paint sticks to make patterned shooting stars on their first day of Art class!









Ms. Saunders' Kindergarteners are strengthening their fine motor skills through coloring and they are improving team building skills through play.




The 1st grade classes reviewed hearing and performing a steady beat by using drum sticks. They love to go fast!




First day shenanigans in first grade. Recess under the new shade pavilion, learning to work together with stem bins, art class.









Mrs. Porter’s 2nd Grade class is getting rid of those First Day Jitters with some Jitter Juice after the read aloud!



We're a week away from auditions for our winter play, How Miss Finch Stole Christmas. We have speaking and nonspeaking roles for students in K-12th grade. Homeschoolers are also welcome to audition. Big changes coming for GCS Robotics.


Mrs. Gillen's children filled their summer with lots of activities both at home and away.



Mrs. Dresback’s daughter, Lydia, and Ms. Saunders’ daughter, Lily, found an Eagle at the Columbus Zoo!

Earlier this summer, the Summer day camp visited the Ohio Bird Sanctuary and saw a bald eagle.


A lot of new friends were met this summer; chickens, cows, snakes… oh my! Sunny the Eagle thought it was a relaxing summer… until Raelynn showed up with frogs bigger than his lunch!


Mum orders are due in two weeks so you still have time to collect more orders! Physical order forms will be going home the first week of school. Our goal is to sell 900 mums!


It's Morrow County Fair Week! Swing by the Youth Building this week and see GCS's booth. We'll also be taking part in the 175th Celebration Parade on Sunday.
