Mrs. Millinger and Mrs. Caldwell were January's teacher and staff of the month.
Today in theater class, students learned how to set up a prop table by participating in a scavenger hunt. Teams were given a track sheet with a list of props they had to go find and bring back to the prop table which then needed to be probably organized and labeled. We have some prop masters in the making!

Mrs. Amanda came to talk to our preschool classes about staying healthy and no spreading germs.
Sat Feb 3, the GCS HS Robotics team competed in a large tournament with many of the schools from across Ohio already having a secure berth in the state championship matches. GCS does not have a practice field and the teams get the equivalent of 3 lunch periods per week to build, program and practice. Yet, they came in 22 of 47 and defeated many larger, more experienced schools. Well done Cyber Eagles.
Our 4th and 5th grade girls basketball team got their first win over the weekend! We are so proud of how far they have come this season! Let's Go Lady Eagles!

4th grade students used toy springs to demonstrate different wave frequencies.

After learning about sound waves and a little bit about how speakers can handle various sound frequencies, Liam was examining the woofers and tweeters in one of the classroom speakers.
The third graders are researching different topics to write an informational report. They are working so hard!
4th grade students used graham crackers and pudding to simulate the movement of lithospheric plates on the magma of Earth's mantle.

Middle School robotics went to their first tournament at Highland Middle School and played head to head with some of the best in Ohio. They consistently showed improvement as the day progressed.
Mrs. Saunders' class earned a hot chocolate party for good behavior!
