The Morrow County Fair is coming up, and Gilead Christian School will have a table there this year! This is a great opportunity for us to connect with people in our community, share about GCS, and let others know what's happening at our school.

We are looking for staff, parents, grandparents, and friends willing to volunteer for a time slot at our table. You don't need to be an expert on the school—just come ready to greet people, answer basic questions, run a simple game, and help represent GCS!!

We are excited to begin our annual Fall Mum Sale! Funds raised for this sale support our students above and beyond tuition costs. These big, beautiful 10-inch mums come in decorative pots and are a perfect addition to your fall decor. Students can start collecting orders now. Order forms have been emailed to families to print out and will also be available at open house. Orders (with payment) are due on or before Thursday, September 10th. Cash & checks are accepted. Please make checks payable to Gilead Christian School. Mums will be available for pick up at South Campus on September 18th.

Andy spotted a second eagle this summer while at General Rosecrans Elementary School doing a summer group through Syntero for K-1st graders! Syntero offers FREE social and emotional groups both in person and virtual for K-12th graders through the summer for Morrow, Delaware, Marion, and surrounding county residents. It's been a wonderful resource! He's loved them!

Eli spotted this eagle during a recent visit to the Dayton Air Force Museum.

This week at out Summer STEM Club gathering, we had hands-on Small Engine Repair and Auto Shop I-Preventative and Routine Maintenance of Passenger Vehicles. We also talked shop safety. We inventoried what tools most shops need and how to troubleshoot the most commonly recurring problems and how to be proactive them by making some simple observations and using the multimeter to find what it could be. Important above all is scheduling preventative maintenance that would help avoid costly mistakes later

One thing that is critical in preventative maintenance is checking tire pressure and rotating tires on a regular basis. Here we see some students taking part in operating an impact wrench to remove and replace wheel nuts. This of course is followed up with the proper use of a torque wrench and tightening the nuts to spec.
