Gilead Christian School is celebrating a milestone in its growing fine arts program as several students were officially inducted into the International Thespian Society (ITS), the honor society for secondary school theatre students.

The new inductees are Abby M., Lily M., Kaia L., Dan R., and Garrett J. Each earned membership by completing 100 hours of performance, technical work, and leadership in theatre in a single school year.

The students join thousands of thespians worldwide who share a passion for the performing arts and a commitment to excellence.

“Our theatre program is about more than putting on a show—it’s about building character, leadership, and teamwork,” said Aleta Jones, theatre director at Gilead Christian School. “These students have put in countless hours of rehearsal, service, and artistry, and it’s wonderful to see their hard work honored in this way.”

The International Thespian Society, founded in 1929, has inducted more than two million members globally. Students inducted gain access to leadership opportunities, scholarships, and national theatre festivals where they can showcase their talents.

These Gilead Christian students now carry the distinction of being the first group of thespians to represent their school at this international level. Their induction reflects not only individual achievement but also the school’s commitment to providing meaningful fine arts education.

With this induction, Gilead Christian School continues to shine as a place where students can discover their gifts, develop their skills, and celebrate the joy of theatre.
