Hello, My name is Mrs. Johnson. Welcome to the second grade class, and the future of our world, at Gilead Christian School. It is an honor and privilege to plant seeds of knowledge in the fertile soil of your children’s minds. Through engaging lessons and activities, I want to nurture the growth of your child so they will see all that they are and can be in Christ. I love seeing when the light goes on in the mind of a child as they get the realization that they can do it. I love learning all that I can about my students to build relationships and trust so that I might better teach them.
I have wanted to be a teacher since I was in the second grade. Though God led me down the path to obtain my Bachelors of Science and become a registered nurse, I never lost the love to teach and inspire young people. Recently, God opened a door that brought me to Gilead Christian School. I am certified to teach through ASCI and have much experience teaching through homeschooling, substituting, being a teacher’s aid, tutoring, and teaching ESL online to children in China.
I am married and have one son living at home. We are all involved in ministry at our church and strive everyday to grow deeper in our relationship with the Lord. I love hiking and traveling to Lake Erie, which is the closest to the ocean this east coast girl can get. I’m pretty much a homebody and enjoy time spent making memories with my loved ones.
Gilead Christian School is truly a place where everyone lives out their Christian walk. It’s like going to church every day sprinkled with learning. The staff truly are a family to each other and to all of the students. It has been an honor to work all of them. Every day is a joy to come to work.
